Date & Banana Muesli Squares

This no fuss, no frills slice is a perfect lunch box snack for kids big and small - it will take you 30 minutes to make from beginning to end. It may be simple but it is very yummy and perfect teamed with a cup of tea or coffee for a mid-morning or afternoon treat, without the guilt.

Ingredients

100g rolled oats
1 banana, mashed
10 medjool dates, pitted
2 tsp pure maple syrup
2 tsp golden syrup
30g dessicated coconut

Thermomix Method

1. Line a 27cm x 17.5cm x 3.5cm slice tin with baking paper and set aside.
2. Preheat oven to 180◦C.
3. Place all ingredients into Thermomix bowl.
4. Insert measuring cup into mixing bowl lid and process 15 sec / Speed 6. Repeat if necessary until a smooth mixture forms.
5. Pour mixture into slice tin and smooth out the top.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Food Processor Method

1. Line a 27cm x 17.5cm x 3.5cm slice tin with baking paper and set aside.
2. Preheat oven to 180◦C.
3. Place all ingredients into food processor with blade attachment.
4. Blitz on high until a smooth mixture forms and there are no lumps.
5. Pour mixture into slice tin and smooth out the top.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
